Day 1: Merzouga – Taouz – Ramlia – Ouzina (Approx. 130 km)
From Merzouga, your desert ride goes south, past the Erg Chebbi dunes, to the village of Taouz. After a short break to look at the rock carvings nearby, the trip continues along parts of the famous Dakar Rally path. As you get closer to the small town of Ramlia, you’ll go through wide sandy areas and twisting dry riverbeds. After a break for some local tea and a ride, the group heads west along rough, sandy roads until they reach Ouzina, a quiet desert town tucked between golden dunes. In this auberge, you can spend a quiet night with a warm home-cooked meal and a clear night sky.
Day 2: Ouzina – Jdaid – Taouz – Merzouga (Approx. 120 km)
After breakfast, begin the return trip on a fresh track cycling over the little town of Jdaid and back into Taouz on another road. Riding terrain will combine with rocky plateaus, fossil fields, and beautiful dunes. Late afternoon sees you circle back into Merzouga, finishing a magnificent two-day off-road KTM journey throughout the heart of the Moroccan Sahara.

Before beginning this Morocco Desert Motorbike Tour, riders must be current motorcycle licensed and experienced off-road. The trip consists of fuel, Yamaha bikes, mechanical assistance, and a 4×4 support vehicle. Not included are flights, required travel insurance, meals, drinks, personal expenses, be ready for a spectacular desert trip!
Always include basic riding gear including a helmet, gloves, jacket, knee protection, and strong boots. Along with sunscreen, sunglasses, a compact bag, comfortable, light-weight clothes for the day and warm layers for desert evenings are absolutely essential. Though winter (Nov-Feb) brings cold desert evenings, summer (June-Aug) may be rather scorching.
Always follow the advice of your guide for your safety we have very knowledgeable guides who will lead you safely during your tour with us; keep a safe space between riders; be careful on sandy, rocky, or steep ground. Drinking lots of water is quite advised since hydration is quite important. These preparations will help you to be ready for a remarkable desert adventure!
