Day 1: Merzouga – Khamlia – Mifis Mines – Nomads – Ouzina (Approx. 80 km)
Today After breakfast in your accommodation in Merzouga, an experienced driver guide will pickup you and start an off-road journey in a 4×4 vehicle as you traverse the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi and drive for the settlement of Khamlia, renowned for its vibrant Gnawa music. Before heading to the Mifis mines, previously under French control, where you will explore the stony desert environment and learn about its mining past, enjoy a brief cultural stop. We will next visit a nomadic Berber family living in traditional tents to have tea and learn about their distinctive way of life. From here, the terrain changes to the black desert, huge open plains, and picturesque plateaus as we go to the isolated and serene Ouzina Desert. Arriving late afternoon, check in at Riad Ouzina TGM; you will be greeted with mint tea. enjoy a delicious dinner and Have a classic supper and unwind beneath the star-filled wide Saharan sky.
Day 2: Ouzina – Ramlia – Desert Tracks – Merzouga (Approx. 90 km)
